We will be celebrating the 10th Annual, “A Taste of Memphis event this year. Our theme is “Celebrating ONE Memphis with Endless Possibilities”. Neighborhoods in the City of Memphis and Shelby County will be showcased at this celebration specifically designed to highlight local neighborhoods, community development corporations (CDCs), faith-based organizations, and many others. This is a Special year symbolizing the NUMBER 10- for New Beginnings, Growth of spirit, Manifestation of desires and lastly, Completion.
ANNUAL BOOTH COMPETITION
This is our 10th annual fun competition festival based on how unique a booth/display area is in concept, implementation, and effectiveness in clearly representing your community. The theme this year is “Celebrating ONE Memphis with Endless Possibilities”.
This is your neighborhood’s opportunity to “Show and Tell” the attendees about your organization. You may create a display area that tells the story about who you are and what you do. This will be a time to “toot your horn” about the awards, projects, accomplishments, and especially the rich history of your neighborhood. You may use photos, articles, videos, PowerPoint presentations — almost anything that helps tell the story of your neighborhood.
Our City is thriving and it’s with the great support of our community that makes it happen! It’s time to celebrate the greatness of our neighborhoods that bring the magic! Sponsoring “A Taste of Memphis,” provides you with a unique opportunity to make a difference and have fun doing it! Neighborhoods in the City of Memphis and Shelby County will be showcased at the 9th Annual “A Taste of Memphis,” event held on September 19, 2024, at Tiger Lane, Memphis, TN 38104. This celebration is specifically designed to highlight local neighborhoods, community development corporations (CDCs), faith-based organizations, and many others. Neighborhood sense of community has shown to be linked to many positives: creating sense of belonging, providing a physical and mental health boost, and even lowering crime rates.
This awesome event was designed to highlight our neighborhoods, neighborhood organizations and small business in the Memphis and Shelby County area. This year we want to celebrate our ability to overcome! This is your opportunity to “Show and Tell” for the participants of this event! Showcase your delectable delights. You may create a display area that tells the story about who you are and what you do. This event is free to the public. We are looking to have a variety in food options.
